Vermont will begin issuing free $30 shop-local gift cards on a first-come, first-serve basis to residents next week — to help businesses impacted by COVID-19.
Residents may register for the cards beginning at 11 a.M. On sept. 8 through the state's #buylocalvermont website, administered by the vermont department of economic development.
The cards can count toward spending at vermont-owned restaurants, retail stores, entertainment and performing arts venues, lodging and other tourism-related businesses, the department says.

I only recommend this for those who enjoy listening to the radio since the payout is so low.
Another easy way to make money is by watching videos, yet once again the payout system isn’t the best. You can earn 1-2 cents per video and each one lasts an average of a few minutes. In terms of earning cash, this is one of the worst payout rates on the site.
Under the paid to click tab, you are paid to click on advertiser banners and links. The great part about this section is that you can use the sidebar on the left to choose the category of ads you wish to view. Here you have to view 4 different category pages and then click on an ad.
You must view content pages for a total of 2 1/2 minutes to receive your credit of 15 cents. There’s even a timer on the page to keep track of your time. This section is actually pretty easy, but can only be completed once a day.
This portion of the page is sponsored by crowdflower. Crowdflower is an online task site where you can hire out people to complete tasks at an extremely low cost. Here you’re only going to get 1 – 50 cents per tasks and they usually take up a decent amount of time. I do not recommend this section at all.
This is by far my favorite section. Log on to the fusioncash page using your browser from your tablet or mobile device. Download the apps listed and earn some cash. Usually you can earn anywhere from $.50 cents to $2.00 dollars just for installing an app to your phone.
Make sure to open the app and leave it installed for a few hours in order to receive credit. This section is highly recommended. Check back often as new apps are offered daily.
This one is by far the easiest and the funnest. You earn $1.00 when your referral confirms their email, $2.00 when they complete an offer that’s pay-to-sign-up, and $5 dollars each time they cash out. These referral bonuses are available for life! To get ahead and make sure you have enough food to last you throughout the week, go ahead and portion a few things out.
- Divide yogurt into 5 containers. This will make it easy to grab on your way out the door!
- Cut, grill, and divide your chicken. You will need 3 whole chicken breasts. The rest needs to be diced, grilled with whatever seasoning you prefer, and divided up for 7 lunches. I would just put these in individual containers so you can grab them easily for lunches.
- Salad mix needs to last 4 lunches, go ahead and divide it up into 4 containers on tuesday so it stays fresh.

Amazon dash buttons available in app
The one-click buttons that made it easier to order your favorite products from amazon are now available within the amazon app and on their website. With the new digital version of the dash buttons, you have more visibility into the going rates of your products.
